By nature The Church is missionary. God has called us to participate in His own life
and glory not only as individuals but as the people of God.
The Father sent His Son Jesus, as mediator, to make all men participants of his divine
life.
At Pentecost the Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles and the Church began to spread
and become visible. Jesus ordered his disciples to preach the Good News throughout the
world,
( Ad Gentes Divinitus).
At Incarnation Parish, we are part of a larger spectrum, the Archdiocese of New York.
In this community of the Incarnation, we carry out and bring into concreteness, the
mission of the Universal Church.
Guided by the Holy Spirit and united in our faith by Jesus Christ, we strive to deepen
our relationship with God as we struggle to live in a challenging world.
Nourished and strengthened by the Holy Scriptures, the Sacraments and the Eucharist,
we witness the Gospel of Jesus Christ through worship, education and service.
We freely share our gifts and talents as we minister to others. We welcome all people
extending God's love in that service and with special concern for the marginalized of
our community.
